The Student Lighthouse team at W. Reily Brown Elementary recently sponsored a school-wide Code Purple Drive, where students and families were encouraged to bring in clothing and other various items to support the needs of the homeless members of their community. The Student Lighthouse team made informational posters, set up drop-off boxes and monitored donations brought in by each grade at the school. The Student Lighthouse team presented the donations to Code Purple representatives on February 18. The students helped load the boxes of items and talked with the Code Purple representatives on exactly how the donations will be put to use by their organization. The 5th grade team contributed the most items, and will receive an ice cream reward for their efforts. All grade levels at the school did a great job helping to support the worthy cause.

The Student Lighthouse Team Coordinators are teachers Alisa Cavaliero, Mallory Doddato, Leslie Crews and Cherie Bergold.
