New Varsity Wrestling Head Coach

Caesar Rodney High School is excited to announce the appointment of Mr. Benjamin “Trey” Mitchell as the new head varsity wrestling coach.

 

Mitchell is a 2012 graduate of Caesar Rodney High School where he was a member of the cross country, wrestling, and baseball teams.   He continued his education at McDaniel College, in Westminster, MD, where he was a four-year letter winner and captain as part of the “Green Terror” Division III wrestling team.  He earned his Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science from McDaniel College (2016) and a Master’s in Special Education from Wilmington University (2019), and currently teaches at the Kent Elementary Intensive Learning Center at W.B. Simpson Elementary School. 

 

Trey has served as the assistant varsity coach and head junior varsity coach for the High School wrestling team since 2016.  Mitchell brings youth sports coaching and leadership experience to his new position as shown by his involvement in both the Young Riders and Henlopen Hammers programs and his service on the Delaware USA Wrestling Board. 

 

He resides in Magnolia, DE, with his fiancé, Olivia.
