Jennifer Martin Selected As New Principal At W.B. Simpson Elementary School

(Camden, DE.) Jennifer Martin, assistant principal at W.B. Simpson Elementary School in Camden, has been approved by the Caesar Rodney School Board to become principal, effective immediately, at the same school where she has worked for the past five years. Jennifer replaces outgoing principal Michael Kijowski who has been selected to work in the Caesar Rodney District Office as Supervisor of Instruction. “I am honored to be the new principal at W.B. Simpson Elementary School,” said Jennifer. “I am eagerly awaiting the start of a new school year here in the Caesar Rodney School District. Our vision at W.B. Simpson is that everyone succeeds and I am excited to foster that vision with our families, our students, and our community.” Jennifer has been in the education profession for 14 years, spending her first ten years teaching in grades 3-5 in the Appoquinimink School District. In 2014, she arrived at the Caesar Rodney School District as assistant principal at Simpson. Jennifer received a Bachelor of Science in Education and a Master of Instruction from the University of Delaware and is currently working on her doctorate in Educational Leadership, also at the University of Delaware. “Jennifer is a natural leader and is a perfect choice to become Simpson’s next principal,” said Mr. Kijowski. She is, and always has been, one hundred percent about the students. I wish her all the best in her new role as principal.”
