The Band and Music programs of the Caesar Rodney School District recently received a generous donation from local musician and Air Force retiree Kevin Keene. Kevin gifted 4 electric guitars, 4 bass guitars, and 8 amplifiers to be used by music students at Caesar Rodney High School and the middle schools.

 

Keene hopes that more CR students develop a passion for music, and that the new gear will help them gain a greater appreciation for guitars and the role they can play in a full ensemble band. It is well known that learning to play any instrument can have a significant impact on a student’s academic and social skills.

 

Caesar Rodney would like to thank Mr. Keene for his generous donation. The new instruments will ensure the music education program remains alive and accessible to all Rider students.
