Caesar Rodney High School student-athletes Junior Ammar McNair & Sophomore Alex Failing were surprised today by Caesar Rodney Unified Sports Coach Skye Boris & Nate Threatts, Manager of the Unified Champion Schools Program for Special Olympics Delaware (SODE) with the news that they’d been chosen to travel to Orlando, FL in June 5-12, 2022 for the Special Olympics USA Games with Team Delaware as part of "The Youth Leadership Experience."

The youth leadership experience leverages an experiential format of training and activation where youth leaders are integrated into their state delegation and gain a better understanding of their leadership skills through hands-on development opportunities.

Ammar & Alex will serve in a variety of volunteer roles across different areas, in addition to supporting the #Delaware state delegation. Congratulations!
