Caesar Rodney High School is excited to announce the appointment of Dr. Rebecca Woodzell as the new head varsity field hockey coach.

Woodzell is a graduate of Boyertown High School in Pennsylvania, where she was a member of both the varsity field hockey and lacrosse teams.   She continued her education at the University of Delaware where she was a four-year letter winner and captain as part of the Blue Hens Division I field hockey team.  Woodzell was also named a first-team All-America East team member and later she served as a volunteer assistant coach at the University of Delaware while completing her graduate degree in physical therapy.  She earned her doctorate in physical therapy from Temple University in 2003. 

Woodzell initially worked as a physical therapist for 11 years in a long- term care setting and has been employed as a physical therapist with the Caesar Rodney School District for the past 10 years.  Woodzell brings youth sports coaching experience, an understanding of team management, and continued athletic participation as an adult player to assist her in her new role.  

She resides in Wyoming, DE, with her husband and two children.
