School Choice

2026-2027 School Choice Deadlines

• Online Choice Application opens November 3, 2025 at 8am.
• Online Choice Application closes January 14, 2026 at 11:59 pm. 
• Kindergarten Applications remain open until the first day of the 2026-2027 school year.  

A School Choice Information Meeting will be held on October 13, 2025, from 4:30-5:30 at Fred Fifer III Middle School.   

Apply for School Choice at: www.schoolchoicede.org  

Waitlists decisions are considered in August 2026.

School Choice is based on school capacity.

Transportation is not provided. 

Kindergarten Requirements: 

The kindergarten applications will be considered incomplete if the application and birth certificate are not submitted online and the student is not pre-registered in their home district.  

Kindergarten School Choice remains open until the first day of 2026-27 school year.

Students who live outside the Caesar Rodney School District will need to pre-register at their home district.

Students must be 5 years old before August 31, 2026.

Kindergarten waiting lists decisions will be considered in August 2026.

School Choice is offered based on school capacity.

Transportation is not provided.
