Dover Air Base Middle School (DABM) contains two Charlton classrooms. Charlton DABM students are integrated into a variety of school activities and classes with their typical peers. Some of the inclusion opportunities include PE, Music, Career Fairs, Lunch Buddies, Dance Buddies, and Very Special Arts (VSA). Charlton DABM students value vocational experiences and participate in weekly Agriculture and PAES (work skills) labs at the Charlton site. They are also active with vocational opportunities within the DABM school building, such as with planting and cultivating the vegetable and herb gardens in the atrium. Charlton DABM students cooperate with the other offsite middle schools (Fifer and PMS) in CBIs (Community Based Instruction) around units of study, such as the Fire Hall for Community Safety, Fifer Orchards for the Life Cycle of Plants, and Texas Road House for Vocational Skills.
