Mr. Todd Simpson

Mr. Simpson became the building principal of the John S. Charlton School on August 1st, 2015. Prior to becoming principal Mr. Simpson served as an assistant principal at Charlton (2013-2015). His responsiblities included building programs for the transition age groups (13-21) to support greater vocational and independece outcomes for students. In addition, Mr. Simpson spent time as the assistant principal leading inclusion for elementary and middle school students. 

Prior to joining the team at Charlton Mr. Simpson spent 12 years as the program coordinator of the Kent Elementary Intensive Learning Center. The Kent Elementary ILC is the county wide school for students with Social/Emotional disabilities. 

Todd Simpson graduated with a Master of Arts Degree in Educational Leadership from Wilmington University. Prior to that he graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood/Elementary Education with a minor in Reading and a graduate certificate in Special Education. Mr. Simpson is a graduate of Caesar Rodney High School. 

Mr. Simpson has 2 children; W. Conor Simpson and Mary Kate Simpson.
