Mr. Matthew Keen

Matt Keen is in his first year with the Caesar Rodney School District as Principal at Magnolia Middle School.  Prior to this year Mr. Keen was in a District Operations Role with Sussex Academy and before that in a school leadership role within Red Clay School District.  
 
Mr. Keen believes ALL students have the right to access a high-level education in an environment where they are comfortable and safe.  
 
"Our Goal at Magnolia Middle School is to create a family atmosphere where students have access to a middle school education that prepares them for a rigorous high school course load, in a setting that they feel safe being the best versions of themselves in. "

Dr. Megan Dalfovo-Szabo

Dr. Megan Szabo is the Assistant Principal at Magnolia Middle School in the Caesar Rodney School District.  Prior to her role as an administrator, Dr. Szabo was the Achievement Liaison Teacher at MMS and a part of the leadership team that opened the building in the fall of 2021.  She also worked for over a decade at Postlethwait Middle School as a science teacher and at the Caesar Rodney School District Office as the K-12 Science Resource Teacher for five years.  In her spare time, Dr. Szabo loves to camp with her husband (a teacher at FMS) and two kids (who both attend MMS) and hanging out with her 3 dogs.

Mr. Ken Begor

Mr. Ken Begor is the Dean of Students at Magnolia Middle School in the Caesar Rodney School District. Mr. Begor has a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia, and a Master’s degree in Education from Wilmington University. He began his career in 2012 teaching math at Fifer Middle School, where he also served as the Math department head. Mr. Begor values the educational environment and prides himself on creating strong relationships with his students. In addition to his teaching responsibilities, Mr. Begor has been mentoring young athletes in the district while coaching football and track and field at Caesar Rodney High School for the last ten years. Mr. Begor is currently in the Educational Leadership program at Wilmington University and will graduate next winter with a degree and certificate in school administration.
