Taylor Morris

Ms. Taylor Morris, a third-grade teacher at W.B. Simpson Elementary School has been named the 2025–2026 Caesar Rodney School District Teacher of the Year. A dedicated educator since 2011, Ms. Morris is committed to fostering inclusive, equitable, and student-centered learning environments. Her passion for education has also earned her recognition as the 2021 Teacher of the Year at J. Ralph McIlvaine Early Childhood Center. She is now a candidate for Delaware’s State Teacher of the Year, which will be announced this fall by the Delaware Department of Education.

A graduate of the University of Delaware with a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education, Ms. Morris is currently pursuing a Master’s in Teacher Leadership from the American College of Education. Her wide-ranging classroom experiences have helped her build strong, lasting relationships with students, families, and colleagues, serving as a vital link between the school and the broader Caesar Rodney community.

Beyond the classroom, Ms. Morris serves as a Lead Mentor Coach, guiding and supporting new teachers, and plays an active role in the Rising Educators program, encouraging local high school students to pursue careers in education. She also mentors aspiring educators from area colleges and universities and advocates for inclusion through collaborations with Caesar Rodney Countywide Programs. As a school representative in the Caesar Rodney Education Association, she champions the voices of both students and educators.

Driven by a passion for growth, collaboration, and lifelong learning, Ms. Morris continues to make a meaningful impact across the district—empowering students, inspiring colleagues, and strengthening the Caesar Rodney community.
