2024-2025: Kaysi Anderson, Simpson Elementary

Kaysi Anderson
Kaysi Anderson has been teaching as an elementary special education teacher for the past 9 years. While growing up in a rural town in Northeast Pennsylvania, Anderson always knew she wanted to be a teacher. To achieve her childhood vision, she obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary and Special Education in 2016 from Alvernia University in Reading, PA. Upon graduation, she joined New Story Schools as an Emotional Support Teacher. In 2017, Anderson relocated to Delaware after accepting a position at W.B. Simpson Elementary, where she continues to teach today. In 2021, she obtained her Master’s Degree in School Leadership from Wilmington University.
Anderson’s passion for education stems from her desire to meet the needs of each learner. She makes it a daily goal to foster an inclusive learning environment for her fourth graders in which they are engaged, supported, and successful. She was awarded the Caesar Rodney Inclusion Champion Award in 2024 for her efforts to support the transition of students from the Kent Intensive Learning Center. Apart from the work Anderson puts into her classroom, she also frequently involves herself in different factions of the Caesar Rodney community. Over the years, Anderson has collaborated on a number of school, district, and state-level committees, led various extracurricular clubs, and coached middle school girls' basketball.
