Mrs. Julie Finley-O'Connor
Ms. Julie Finley-O’Connor is the World Languages Department Chair. After graduating from Caesar Rodney High School, she studied at the University of Delaware with a major in accounting and a minor in French. During her undergraduate studies, she studied with UD programs in Geneva, Switzerland; London, England and Vienna, Austria. Following graduation, she worked as an accountant for Ernst & Whinney (now Ernst & Young) in New York, NY and JP Morgan in Wilmington, DE. After five years in industry, Ms. Finley-O’Connor returned to the University of Delaware for graduate school with the dual purpose of obtaining Delaware teaching certification and a master’s degree. During this time, she studied in Caen, France. Ms. Finley-O’Connor joined the faculty of Caesar Rodney in 1995 as a part-ESL teacher, part-French teacher. In 2002, she began teaching a completely French schedule. She is the third generation in her family to graduate from Caesar Rodney and has two sons who are fourth generation 2016 and 2018 graduates of Caesar Rodney.

Rachel Cimera
Hello, my name is Rachel Ann Cimera, 施睿秋! Bethlehem, Pennsylvania is my hometown. I have always loved foreign languages. I feel that knowing another language is a gift, an asset, and an honor. Students are the global ambassadors of tomorrow and knowing a second language is a gateway to many opportunities. I want my students to succeed and thrive to reach their fullest potential in order to achieve their dreams and to apply what they have learned beyond the classroom. The world is getting smaller everyday with the use of modern technology, learning a second language provides them the ability to learn about other cultures or even use the language as a tool for their future occupational use, relocation, study, and/or traveling needs.
I have taught for over three years with English First where I gained experience teaching English as a Second Language to students in Beijing, China. I received a CertTESOL certification from the Trinity College of London. I studied Chinese as my major in university and secondary education as well at Northampton Community College, Bloomsburg University, and at Beijing Normal University. I am currently working on my master’s degree in education from Relay GSE and currently enrolled within the ARTC program there. I have experience teaching individuals from a wide range of ages for students two and a half years of age to adults in China. In the US, I am in my second year of teaching at Caesar Rodney High School. I taught my first year at Fifer Middle School as a Chinese Immersion Teacher and helped to teach Chinese at the high school as well. I really look forward to a great year and helping our students soar towards being their best selves and learning another language. 加油！

Mr. Samir Gibrial
My name is Samir Gibrial ('Mr.G'). I am from Alexandria, Egypt. In 1995, I received a Bachelor of Arts and Education. I started to teach at a middle school in 1996, and then I joined “Mohamed Zahran Experimental Language High school in 2002. I completed a Teacher Development course for Teaching English as a Foreign Language in the United Kingdom in 2004. Among the many honors I have been awarded are a certificate from Edinburgh University (Scotland), an international certificate of ICDL (International Computer Driver License), a certificate in Civic Education, and a TCLP (Teachers of Critical Languages) certificate. I taught Arabic at AMES (Academy for Math, Engineering, and Science) in Salt Lake City, Utah in 2009. I worked at Penn State University in 2011, and then at the University of Delaware until I converted to be a rider at CRHS on 8/20/2014.

Ines Juchem
Hallo and Willkommen! My name is Ines Juchem and I am currently in my 10th year of teaching. I was born and raised in Germany. My family and I always liked to travel to learn about other countries and cultures. Prior to moving to the US, I finished high school and my undergraduate studies in Germany.
I received my Masters of Business Administration from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania and worked many years in International Market Research. There, I gained extensive knowledge of global business practices, with a focus on culture and language.
After I had our daughter, I received a second Master's degree in Education, with a focus on Special Education and Autism. I have taught German, French, Spanish and Mandarin Chinese in grades K-12 over the past years.
Today I am very excited to be teaching German at Caesar Rodney High School. I have been teaching at CRHS since 2016. I truly enjoy teaching and hope to share my enthusiasm for languages, cultures, and lifelong learning with all of my students. I am looking forward to a great year! Hello all! My name is Tim Rudis and I have been teaching Spanish since 2001 at Caesar Rodney High school. I graduated from the University of Scranton in 2000 with a Spanish and Philosophy degree and became certified to teach after completing the ARTC (Alternative Routes to Certification Program) from the University of Delaware. I later received a Masters Degree in Technology and Instruction in 2009. Teaching is my passion and I love being in the classroom sharing my love for the Spanish language. I have an awesome wife and 3 great daughters.
