With fourteen years experience, all at Caesar Rodney High School, Carla received her Bachelor of Arts degree in History from the University of Delaware and a Masters degree in Secondary Counseling from Wilmington College. Carla also became National Board Certified in 2002.

When asked what the greatest reward is for her as a teacher, Carla responded, "For me, the greatest reward is the opportunities I have to make a difference. One thing I value is helping others." Added Carla, "As a teacher, I have countless opportunities to work with students, families and our community in a positive way. Working with my students in different capacities and being a part of our community brings me personal joy and satisfaction."
