CR Countywide Programs has four classes of students at Caesar Rodney High School. Students rotate between the two onsite classrooms for one half of the day and work-based learning opportunities for the other half. While at CRHS, students participate in a variety of inclusion opportunities which include:
-Art, PE, Audio/Visual, Chemistry labs, and Del-One Banking
-CRHS events, such as Donut Decision Day, Parent Night, Senior Day, etc.
-Blue and Gold Club Activities/Lunch Buddies
-DART practice in the student’s exiting year
-Starting soon: Tech/CAS, Sports Equipment Management, Grounds/maintenance, and Ag Community-Based Instruction, such as to Brunswick Bowling and Wesley College
-Unified Sports: Highlights include a second consecutive title of Track and Field State Championship and being recognized as a Unified Banner School
Our CRHS Charlton students participate in on- and offsite work-based learning opportunities which include a partnership with the Department of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR) for weekly pre-employment instruction and activities with students. Our vocational sites include:
-Onsite: Brew and Gold Café/Café delivery, Cafeteria/Food Service Prep (AM), and Ag (PM)
-Offsite: Bowling Alley, Applebees, Goodwill, Walmart, Walgreens, W.B. Simpson, etc.
Another vocational highlight of the year is preparing and participating in the GET SET competition at Delaware State University.
