Message Regarding Return to Hybrid Learning
Last night, the Caesar Rodney School District Board of Education approved the return to hybrid instruction for all schools in the district as of Monday, January 11, 2021, for students and families that selected in-person hybrid instruction for the first semester. Families and students that selected remote instruction for the first semester will continue in the remote model.
Schedule
· On January 11 - All elementary schools will resume in-person hybrid instruction beginning with those students in Group “A”
· On January 11 - All secondary schools will resume in-person hybrid instruction beginning with those students in Group “C”
It was also agreed that if necessary, the district would limit possible future closures related to operational concerns or COVID-19 infection to the specific schools impacted, rather than imposing a district-wide closure.
All instructional schedules are posted on the District and school websites and your school principal will also be sharing further information with you about schedules for the rest of the month. Should you have any specific questions please contact your child’s school directly.
On Wednesday, January 6 there will be a free community COVID-19 testing event held in the parking lot of Caesar Rodney High School from 10am to 6pm. You can register in advance by visiting www.delaware.curativeinc.com.
It is hoped that the return to hybrid instruction will be welcomed by parents and students. The Caesar Rodney School District is operating with the goal to keep the spread of the COVID-19 virus to an absolute minimum. We are, and will remain, connected to the Division of Public Health, the Department of Education and the Governor’s Office for guidance on how to operate.
Thank you for doing all you can to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.
Dr. Kevin Fitzgerald, Superintendent
