YEARBOOK ORDERS – Lime green order forms were sent home last week. The price is $13.00. After spring break, the price for yearbooks is $15.00. New this year – you can order online at Ybpay.lifetouch.com – yearbook ID# 13065917. Please send exact cash (we do not keep cash on the premises) or a check made payable to Welch Elementary. Thank you.

 

CHORUS MEMBERS – Please look in your Wednesday folder today for a paper from Mrs. Walls with information about solo auditions, the Spring Concert and the field trip.

 

KINDERGARTEN ACADEMY – The kindergarteners have come so far this school year and we don’t want them to lose all of that during the summer! The next Kindergarten Academy will focus on beating the “summertime slide” that so often happens over summer break. It’ll take place on Wednesday, April 5 from 1:05 – 1:30 PM in Mrs. Weber’s classroom. Please remember to send your RSVP to school by Wednesday, March 29th.

 

CASH – Please note that we do not keep cash on the premises. There are times when money is sent to the school such as yearbook money, kindergarten caps & tassels, t-shirt orders, etc. requiring change. Thank you for sending exact cash amount or a check.

*******SCHOOL CHOICE OPEN ENROLLMENT*******

2017-18 School Choice open enrollment begins Monday, November 7th, 2016 and closes Wednesday January 11th 2017. Kindergarten School Choice is open until the first day of the 2017-18 school year. Applications can only be done on-line and will be available on the district website at http://crk12.org under School Information in the School Choice folder on Monday 11/7 at 8:00am. All applications require proof of residency be uploaded and Kindergarten applicants must upload the student birth certificate.

WHO MUST APPLY

o All Kindergarteners, 5th graders, and 8th graders who are attending one of the CR schools and who live out of district (Inter School Choice) must apply to roll to 1st grade, 6th grade, and 9th grade.

o All Kindergarteners and 5th graders that live in the district (Intra School Choice) and are attending a CR school by Choice and want to roll to a school other than their home school must apply. This includes the language programs for the elementary student.

o All students that live within the district and want to change schools.

o Any student who is not currently attending a CR school and would like to attend one of the CR schools.

INFORMATION NEEDED

Students currently attending CR School and applying must submit:

o Application

o Supplemental form

o Proof of residency

The only accepted proof of residency is current mortgage, rental or lease agreement with parents name and address on it, OR current electric, gas, oil, propane, water or sewer bill with parent name and address on it If the parent cannot supply one of the about POR they need to contact me.

  • The DeSSA/DCAS spring testing window is open from March 1st through June 1st, 2017. Each teacher will communicate specific testing dates with students and their families.
